Like a Mustard Seed

I like to stress and worry. If there is nothing to stress over I stress over not being able to stress. I stress, worry and plan to prevent things that will never happen. If I have a lot of things to do I never really do my part and trust God to provide. There are times when my faith in God does not seem to exist. This is very problematic because it is not good for my physical or spiritual health. So for the rest of the month of May and the whole month of June I have decided not to stress or worry. In the bible in Matthew 17:20- 21, it says if you have faith the size of a mustered seed that you can say to the mountain move and it will move. A mustered seed is really small, it is actually between 1 to 2 millimeters in width.  God says if your faith is 1.5 millimeters (i.e. a mustard seed) you can tell a mountain to move. So how much faith do you need to believe that God will work everything out and not to stress?mustard seed

I have found out that having faith in God is hard. I graduated from college without an acceptance letter from any graduate schools or a job. The only thing I have are my dreams and my room back home. Because of my predicament I have been stressing and worrying.  It wasn’t until I stopped and remember that if God brought me through undergrad then He will guide me to what is next in life. So I pose the question, how big is your faith? Is your faith limited or limitless? It is hard to have faith but it is worth it. In Philippians 1:6 it tells that God who began a good work in you will finish it until completion. If God promises to finish everything to completion then I am going to sit down, start trusting God, have faith a size of a mustard seed and see what happens next.IMG_9217

Until Next Time,

Elyse.
