If you are anything like me, you probably have been experiencing burnout and do not realize it. It took me months to figure out why I was always tired and couldn’t get anything done. I would have to push myself to accomplish tasks and then be completely wiped out afterward. Or at the end of the work week, I only wanted to turn off my phone and sleep because I was genuinely exhausted. If that sounds like you, then you are probably experiencing burnout.
According to the Mayo Clinic, burnout is “a state of physical or emotional exhaustion that also involves a sense of reduced accomplishment and loss of personal identity.” There are several reasons for you to burn out. If you are, it could be that you are experiencing burnout. Burnout can affect you physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially.
