I love Good Food

One of the biggest cHotel breakfast trayomponents of your health is what you eat (aka diet). The diet is one of the hardest things to control but is extremely important. With the endless amount of places that you can get food and the busy schedules you might have, it is extremely hard to have a proper diet. I mean for me it is hard to eat healthy if I don’t meal prep on Sunday. When you have an unbalanced diet, your whole life is off balance (well that is true for me). So how do you keep your life in balance? Through a good diet! A good diet needs to have a balance in nutrition so that you can live your life to the fullness.

According to the Webster dictionary, nutrition is the; “the sum of the processes by which an animal or plant takes in and utilizes food substances.” Nutrition is considered the balance of all of the food groups. Getting a balance amount of grains, protein, fruits, vegetables, dairy and oil in the foods that you eat. This is important because if you eat too much oil and dairy but not enough fruits and vegetables then you will feel sick, probably get bloated and will not stay full for long which causes quick runs to McDonald’s or my favorite Taco Bell.

One of the best ways for you to have a balanced diet and obtain optimal nutrition is by eating a nutritious breakfast. It is true breakfast is the most important meal of the day. By eating fruits, grains, and protein in the morning, it provides you with energy for the day. Having a nutritious breakfast will help you stay full longer during the day. Also, eating a nutritious breakfast can be worked off during the day which can help to keep the weight off. I like to eat oatmeal with a fruit smoothie or a bowl of fruit and protein and maybe with a slice of whole grain bread.  This breakfast keeps me full and is nutritious!

Another way to have a balanced diet is through meal prepping! Meal prepping is preparing meals ahead of time. I like to make some time on Sunday to cook meals for the week. I store them in containers and then grab them and go during the week. By meal prepping, I eliminate eating out ( most of the time), have healthy meals to eat during the week and my favorite part, I SAVE Money! If you are trying to get fit, save money, get healthy or just like to live a healthy life, try to get some healthy food into your life. I promise you that you will feel better and healthy afterward!
