The first is, God cannot grow you if you are not willing to be broken. This past school year God broke me spiritually, emotionally and even physically. During my spring break mission trip with VOT, I somehow injured my right knee. This injury caused me to wear a knee brace, sit out of concerts and even ride around in a wheel chair. It was through this humbling experience that I learned the value of depending on God and others. When God grows you, He has to break you of bad habits that keeps you separated from Him. The last lesson I learned was, God has a plan. Even though on May 13 I did not have (and still do not have) a clue of what comes next, I know that God has big plans for me. And I wait patiently until He shows me the way. How do I know this? Just by looking back and seeing how He opened doors and put me places and used me where I never would have seen myself this past semester. I am so excited to see what God has in store for me next. Please keep me in your prayers as I start this next incredible part of my journey.
Until Next Time,
Elyse
