YOU ARE VALUABLE

Recently in life, I have been learning another lesson and that is knowing my value/worth. What do I mean?  I have been learning what all I bring to the table in life and not allowing someone to walk over me or take advantage of me.  I am learning to recognize my worth in every aspect of life. Why? Because in life, you find people who see your worth and try to find ways to diminish it or belittle it. They understand the power that your worth gives you and try to destroy it before you can recognize it or use it. But can I let you in on a secret? You are valuable and NO one can take that from you.

So, what made me start this journey in understanding my worth? Like all great life journey’s, a guy.  It was in dealing with this person, that one day a light bulb went off and I realized that I am too valuable to be dealing with foolishness.  Why should I sit around waiting for him to text me or call me? It didn’t make sense. On top of that, I became aware of the value that he was giving me and like I said in a poem I wrote; I am a custom handmade bag, and he was treating me like a handbag from a second-hand store.  So, I decided to start this journey in understanding my worth and help others to understand their worth as well.

We all are valuable; we all bring something to the table in life that no one else has. We are uniquely and customly designed by God; there is not another version of you in the world. So, know your worth! God gave us our value when He bent down and created us in the dirt in His image, breathed life into us and then on top of all that sent His Son to die for our sins! The Bible tells me that I am created in the image of God so I am valuable!

When you understand your value and your worth, you start to walk with your head up, your shoulders back and a smile on your face. It is when you understand your worth and value that you don’t take the foolishness of life and you gain some power.  Mark Victor Hansen says it best, he says: “When your self-worth goes up, your net worth goes up with it.” Take value in who you are and always remember that YOU ARE VALUABLE!!
