One thing that I loved the most about college was the opportunity to form friendships with so many people. The friends that you make become the people that encourage you, grow you, your partner in crime, your driver, and so much more. All of the friends that I made in college played and continue to play a vital part of my life; I really don’t know what life would be like if I didn’t have them in it. However, there is one type of friend that you NEED in life. A friend that will pray with you! Sounds crazy? It’s not. Of all the people who you need in life, you need…

When Life Gives You Potatoes!
All my life I have heard the saying ‘when life gives you lemons make lemonade’; but what do you do when life gives you potatoes? Potatoes??? Why potatoes? is probably what you are asking about now or how can life give you potatoes. Well let me first explain what a potato is. With God, I Can!
There are times in life where I don’t think I am capable of accomplishing the dreams and goals I have for life. Sometimes I see a woman that has all of the capabilities to reach her dreams but somehow fear keeps her from chasing her dreams. I like to stress and worry. If there is nothing to stress over I stress over not being able to stress. I stress, worry and plan to prevent things that will never happen. If I have a lot of things to do I never really do my part and trust God to provide. There are times when my faith in God does not seem to exist. This is very problematic because it is not good for my physical or spiritual health. So for the rest of the month of May and the whole month of June I have decided not to stress or worry. In the bible in Matthew 17:20- 21,…

God Has A Plan
I find it difficult sometimes to trust and believe that God has a plan and a purpose for my life. I have graduated college and I have no idea what comes next. Fear has paralyzed me so I have not taken the GRE or the MCAT. I haven’t applied to much because I haven’t taken any of those test’s and because I believe my GPA is not competitive enough. Yet, my heart burns with a passion for public health, children’s health, nutrition, medicine, writing and the gospel; which I believe has something to do with the plan God has for my life. That could have been the end of the…
