How to reach your 2019 goals: Creating a vision board

In the last post, I mention that making a vision board helps you keep momentum when working towards your goals! Well today I and Jesseñia Melise, who also is a blogger, will help you create a vision board for your 2019 goals!

A vision board is a visual representation of your goals for the new year. In order to create one, you take old magazines, calendars, or anything that you want and you cut out photos, quotes, or whatever represent you and your goals. You then glue them to a poster board, decorate it and there you have it!

“Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain… ”   –Habakkuk 2:2

I love vision boards because it reminds of Habakkuk 2:2 where God tells us to write the vision and make it plain. A vision board allows you to be creative when expressing your goals for the year. Even though you are supposed to make one when you make your goals, create a vision board now. When talking about keeping momentum, being able to go back to your vision board helps you to remember why you made these goals: it is a guide towards your goal or a mural of your finish line.

There are few things that I make sure my vision board represents. The first one is, the board needs to be realistic. I need my vision board to be realistic. It is great to dream big and to create this amazing future for yourself but you need to be realistic. Ask yourself; does this picture truly represent where I want to be at the end of this year?

The second is it has to be meaningful. It is great to make a vision board but it needs to personal to you. If whats on the board does not touch you as a person, then you need to redo it. If you are trying to have people on your vision board, look for people that look like it; it actually helps you see the vision.

I hope that you have enjoyed this blog post on creating a vision board. Have fun creating yours! Be sure to check out Jesseñia Melise blog!
