Water is essential for living. It is important for cooking, cleaning, proper hygiene, and the environment. Water is also very important to stay healthy. Water is a chemical compound of two Hydrogen molecules bounded to an Oxygen molecule (I’m a scientist). This incredible compound, water, keeps the body working and is needed for hydration, immune health, and waste removal from the body. Fun fact! Did you know that the body is made up of 70% of Water? Water is used to help remove toxins from the body. When you do not drink enough water, your kidneys work twice as hard to remove toxins and waste from your body. You might suffer…

Wait on God
God has been teaching me patience. We all know this because of me writing The Wait, The Gift of Patience, and Being Patient Because God Has You ( if you haven’t read these post you should, they’re Great!). But, I never talked about why or where did these blog posts stem from. Like why was I writing so much about patience and waiting on God? Well, sometimes you have to go through some heartache to learn the lesson. So, this post tells the reason why we need to be patient and wait on God. There will come a time in life that you learn just to trust God and the journey…

I love Good Food
One of the biggest components of your health is what you eat (aka diet). The diet is one of the hardest things to control but is extremely important. With the endless amount of places that you can get food and the busy schedules you might have, it is extremely hard to have a proper diet. I mean for me it is hard to eat healthy if I don’t meal prep on Sunday. When you have an unbalanced diet, your whole life is off balance (well that is true for me). So how do you keep your life in balance? Through a good diet! A good diet needs to have a…

What God Means to Me
Recently, I wrote this short little poem about what God means to me. I hope that you enjoy it and please comment below on what God means to you! God, the God of the universe means father. He protects me from seen and unseen danger. He takes my hand and holds it through the scary times of life. He holds me and carries me when I do not even know it. He help’s me choose good godly friends that will love and cherish me. God, the God of the universe means provider. When I am without He provides for me. Even when I am not worthy of it, He blesses me.…

Blessings and No Complaints!
I find that sometimes in life, I spend way too much time complaining than praising God for all the blessings He has given me. I complain so much that all the good seems to disappear and I am left with my sad depressing thoughts and feelings. It is so important that we remember what God has done for us. So I decided that I was going to stop complaining and start thanking God for all the blessings. Since we are in a new year, I wanted to start it off with 22 blessings ( and counting) God has given me that I am thankful for. Life Health Family Extended family Friends…

2017, It’s a Wrap!
The year 2017 is over! This year flew by so fast! So many things happened this year that if I were to write about it I would need to start a blog (lol). As 2017 comes to a close and 2018 starts there are three important lessons that 2017 taught me that I want to share. Trust God. I don’t know how many times God has been trying to teach me the value of trusting Him and allowing Him to guide my life. God has given us promises in His word that tells us that He has plans to prosper us, that He will never leave us, that He will…

One Year Later… the Growth!
On December 6th, 2016 I big chopped my hair. After transitioning for a little more than a year, I decided to cut my hair. After I cut it, my hair took off and grew longer than it ever was when it was relaxed. Here are the four things that I believed helped my hair to grow. The first thing was NO HEAT! I do not put heat on my hair. The only time I did was when I graduated (back in May). Keeping heat off of my hair helped me not to heat damage it which helped my hair to grow. The second thing I did was protective styles. Whether my hair…

I Choose Me
The first step in becoming the Best Version of You is accepting who you are. When I started my journey of becoming the best version of me, I was at my breaking point. I didn’t like where I was in life and wanted a change. But, even though I was at my breaking point, it wasn’t until I chose the woman who I saw in the mirror and decided to love her at her current place in life that I was truly able to start my journey. What do I mean??? It is difficult to change something that you don’t like or love. Most of us want to make a change…

What Makes You Valuable
In my post You are Valuable, I shared the importance of knowing your value and worth and how you are valuable. But… if you are like me, you’ve probably asked the question, what makes me valuable? I will tell you! There are three areas that make you valuable; who’s your are, your personality and your heritage. Who’s are you? That’s a Great question. We are God’s children. In Genesis it tells us that we were created in the image of God, male and female He created them (Genesis 1:27). The Bible also tells us in 1 Peter 2:9 that we are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, and God’s special…
